First and foremost, make sure you understand and are willing to accept the responsibilities of owning a pet. You will be responsible for providing for the pet’s physical, medical, and behavioral needs for the rest of the pet’s life!
House pets only! Your adopted pet will live indoors as part of your family (no guard dogs or “outside” cats or dogs)
Make sure everyone gets along: Everyone in your family should meet the new pet prior to adoption.
Some of our pets have age restrictions. Everyone who lives in or regularly visits your home should be old enough to live with that particular pet.
If you already have pets at home: We will need to verify that they are up to date on their rabies vaccines. Also, bring your current dog in to meet the potential new dog!
If you rent: We will need to check that your landlord doesn’t mind a new pet in the home
You must be at least 18 years old to adopt
