New Beginnings

Meet some Humane Society alumni!

Harley (Lots of Heart)

We adopted Harley (Lots of Heart) on April 25th.  He has been with us a short time but he is fitting in just fine.  He runs and plays with my other dog.  They are always together - one goes out and the other one follows.  They run and play for 30 minutes then the they go outside and lay in the sand, then they get up and go again!

Harley is enjoying his new life with us and he brings so much joy and love to our family.  I am so grateful that we were able to take him.  He will live a long and happy life with us!

- Linda

Evan, Isabella, Russell, and Licky

EvanIsabellaRussell and Licky

We got both of our babies, Evan and Isabella, on Feb 1, 2009.   We also adopted two other cats from you: Russell was 8 weeks old when we got him - he will be 13 years old in December.   Licky was 8 weeks old when we got him - he was 11 years old when he passed away October 2008.

Keep up the good work!    - Theresa and Geoffrey

Zsa Zsa (Tina Turner)

Zsa Zsa

To the caring people at the Pinellas Humane Society,

I adopted Zsa Zsa aka Tina Turner in June of 2008.  As you can see Tina Turner has reinvented herself.  Her new name is Ms.  Zsa Zsa.  At first I wasn’t sure that she would get along with my other Pekingese Fifi.  Fifi and I visited Zsa Zsa a couple of times to get familiar with one another. Their first meeting didn’t go very well.  Zsa Zsa was a little rough looking and Fifi was looking prissy in her dress. I am happy to tell you all that they get along like 2 old ladies sipping sweet tea, rocking in their rocking chairs on the front porch. She is a wonderful addition to our family.  We love our Zsa Zsa.  Thanks for not giving up on the adoption.  It goes without saying, if there is a will there is a way.  I love my girls. Most important Zsa Zsa loves her new home.  We are looking forward to celebrating her 1st year with us.

Vinnie (Jake/Kinfolk) and Halle (Rayna)

VinnieHalleVinnie is the king, he has a great disposition and owns the house.  Halle spends most of her time in our sons' rooms, in the windows.  All is good and they are wonderful.  We are really glad we decided to adopt both of them.  Thank you so much!

Bear (Cumsa), Muzzie (Cochise), and Thor

Bear, Muzzie, and Thor

We love our new family; thank you from our hearts.

"The boyz" have grown out since they were in the shelter and have beautiful coats now. They are very happy and have the best of everything!

Chloe

Chloe I adopted Chloe as a puppy from your facility in 2005.  She was left at your facility during hurricane season.   Chloe is soon to be 4 years old and such a joy.  She is still a little shy with strangers, but loves her mom and dad..Oh yeah, and of course, her brother, LeeRoy.  She's brought LeeRoy back to his youth - he is 16 years old.  Thanks for all you do and giving hope to the animals in your shelter.  Keep up the good job.

- Elaine
